ServiceNow unveiled a newly redesigned homepage this week, showcasing its updated product domain packaging that to date was only within the header navigation menu. These new product domains align with the launch of the company’s 2025 brand campaign, positioning ServiceNow as the premier AI platform for business transformation through the combination of AI Agents, Data, and Workflows.
Here is a summary of the changes.
The “Technology Workflows” domain group is renamed to just IT:
IT Service Management application suite remains
IT Operations Management application suite remains
The three Asset Management application suites remain (HAM, SAM, EAM)
Strategic Portfolio Management application remains
Enterprise Architecture application suite remains
A new Security and Risk domain is created:
Security Operations moves from the Technology Workflows to this new domain group.
The application suites within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance umbrella move from the Technology Workflows domain to this new domain group: Integrated Risk Management, Privacy Management, Third Party Risk Management.
The Business Continuity Management and ESG Management application suites remain, though are not directly listed as a top-level suite; we will, however, continue to refer to them in that way for now.
The “Employee Workflows” domain group is renamed to Human Resources:
The HR Service Delivery application suite remains
The Talent Development application suite remains
The Workplace Service Delivery application suite remains
The Legal Service Delivery application suite remains
The Health & Safety application suite remains, though is not directly listed as a top-level suite; we will, however, continue to refer to it in that way for now.
The “Creator Workflows” domain group is renamed to Application Development:
The two primary application suites remain: App Engine and Automation Engine.
The Integration Hub product remains and does now have a more prominent placement alongside the other two application suites of the domain.
The Finance and Supply Chain domain group is returned as a named domain.
The three primary source-to-pay application suites remain: Accounts Payable Operations, Sourcing and Procurement Operations, Supplier Lifecycle Operations.
Lastly, and most significantly, the “Customer Workflows” domain group is renamed to just CRM in a positioning of ServiceNow moving to directly compete with Salesforce and other customer data management CRM vendors.
The Customer Service Management application suite remains.
The Field Service Management application suite remains.
The Sales and Order Management application suite remains.
The ‘Built-on-CSM’ industry application suites have a more prominent placement within this new CRM domain group.
To maintain consistency with the current naming of domain groups, we will be updating all of the resources and materials of the Klapatche.com website and Executive Leadership Program for ServiceNow to reflect the new naming convention. This will include collapsing the suite of the ‘Industries’ domain group into the CRM domain (industry suites that are built on other non-CSM products will continue to be referenced). We will continue to have the program-specific standalone domain groups of Platform Core, Platform Premium, and Commercials & Licensing.
The Impact maintenance service packages are exclusively highlighted in the Support section of the updated website. We will, however, continue to position ServiceNow Impact as a purchasable set of services, at the same level as the domain groups of application suites.
If you have any questions about this naming change, please post on the Packaging & Licensing forum.
